01Introduction and Acceptance

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of liteink.co, dashboard.liteink.co, and any themes or plans you buy from LiteInk (“we”, “us”, or “LiteInk”). LiteInk is a premium Astro template store operated by a solo developer.

By purchasing a theme, subscribing to a plan, or creating an account on the dashboard, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t buy from us.

02Definitions

• Theme — a pre-built Astro template sold with full source code under a one-time license.
• All Access Plan — a yearly ($199) or lifetime ($399) subscription that includes all current and future themes.
• Dashboard — the customer portal at dashboard.liteink.co where you manage your themes, billing, and account.
• Customer — you, the person or organization buying from us.
• License — your right to use a theme under the terms described below.

03Account & Authentication

To access your dashboard, you sign in using a third-party provider — GitHub or Google. We don’t use passwords.

• You are responsible for keeping your provider account secure.
• If you lose access to your provider account, contact us with proof of purchase and we’ll help you reconnect.
• You can disconnect a provider or delete your account at any time from the dashboard Settings page.
• One account per person. Sharing dashboard credentials to give others access to your themes is not permitted.

04Theme Licenses

Single Theme ($79)

When you buy a single theme, you receive a license to use it under these terms.

You may:

• Use the theme on as many of your own projects as you like.
• Modify and customize the code for your needs.
• Deploy sites built from the theme to your own hosting or your clients’ hosting.
• Keep using the theme forever — the license doesn’t expire.

You may NOT:

• Resell the theme, in whole or in part, as a standalone product.
• Redistribute or share the theme source code publicly (GitHub repos, download sites, design marketplaces).
• License, sub-license, or transfer the theme to others as if it were theirs.
• Use the theme to build a competing product or template marketplace.

All Access Plans ($199/year or $399 lifetime)

All Access plans include every current theme plus future releases. The yearly plan covers 12 months of access and updates. The lifetime plan covers everything, forever. The same license terms above apply to each theme included.

Updates and support

Single theme licenses include lifetime updates for that theme. All Access plans include updates for all themes during your subscription period. Support is email-based and covers bugs and basic setup questions — not custom development.

05Intellectual Property

• Your content stays yours. You retain full ownership of any text, images, logos, and assets you add to a theme.
• Theme code. You receive a license to use the theme code, not ownership of the code itself. LiteInk retains ownership of the original theme code and the right to sell it to other customers.
• Modified code. Code you write or modify on top of a theme is yours. The original theme’s license still applies to the unmodified portions.
• Third-party assets. Some themes use third-party fonts, images, or libraries. Those remain under their original licenses.
• Reusable components. We may reuse frameworks, patterns, or components across themes. Buying one theme doesn’t give you rights to other themes.

06Payments & Billing

All payments are processed by Polar (polar.sh), our Merchant of Record. Polar handles transactions, tax compliance, and invoicing.

• Single themes: one-time charge, no recurring fees.
• All Access (yearly): charged annually. Auto-renews by default — you can cancel renewal anytime from the dashboard or Polar portal.
• All Access (lifetime): one-time charge, no further payments.
• Invoices: available for download from your dashboard or directly from Polar.
• Failed payments: if a renewal charge fails, we’ll notify you and you’ll have a grace period to update your payment method before access is suspended.

07Refund Policy

We aim to be fair. Here’s how refunds work:

• Single themes: all sales are final due to the nature of digital products. If a theme is broken, missing files, or not as described, we’ll fix it or refund you — your choice.
• All Access (yearly): you can cancel renewal at any time. We don’t issue retroactive refunds for months already paid, but you keep access through the end of your subscription period.
• All Access (lifetime): one-time payment, no refunds after download unless the product is materially broken.

08Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• LiteInk is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption.
• Our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific product that gave rise to the claim.
• We’re not responsible for problems caused by third parties (your hosting, your plugins, your content) or by changes you make to the theme code.

This section applies even if a remedy fails its essential purpose.

09Disclaimer

Our themes are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We do not guarantee:

• Specific search engine rankings, traffic levels, or conversion rates.
• Compatibility with every possible hosting provider or third-party tool.
• That a theme will meet all your business requirements — themes are starting points, not finished products.

SEO depends on your content, your market, your competition, and factors no one controls. Our themes give you a fast, well-structured foundation. The rest is up to you.

10Termination

• Theme licenses: can’t be “terminated” since they’re one-time purchases, but we can revoke a license if you breach the terms (for example, by reselling the theme).
• All Access (yearly): you can cancel renewal at any time. We can cancel a subscription with 30 days’ notice for abuse or license violations.
• Dashboard access: tied to your active subscriptions and purchases. Deleting your account removes dashboard access and all theme ownership records.

11Governing Law

LiteInk operates online without a single fixed jurisdiction. If a dispute arises, we’ll try to resolve it informally first — most disagreements are better solved by talking than by lawyering up.

If we can’t resolve it that way, the dispute will be handled under the laws applicable to where LiteInk’s operator is based, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Where local consumer protection law gives you rights that can’t be waived, those rights still apply.

12Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top. For subscriptions and new purchases, the current version on our site applies.
