Licensing
What exactly do I get when I buy a theme?
You get the full source code — every .astro, .css, .ts, and config file. There’s no compiled binary, no encrypted template, no “premium features locked behind a license key.” What you see in the demo is what you download.
Can I use the theme for client projects?
Yes. A single-theme purchase includes a personal learning license. For commercial client work — including derivative works — you need the Lifetime license, which includes full commercial rights.
Can I resell the theme?
No. You can build websites for clients using the theme, but you cannot resell or redistribute the theme itself as a product.
How many sites can I build with one theme?
Unlimited. Once you own the license, use it on as many of your own projects as you want.
Technical
Do I need to know how to code?
Basic HTML and CSS knowledge helps, but it’s not required. Most content is controlled through config files (data.ts or config.ts) where you edit text values. No complex build pipelines or databases to set up.
Do the themes work without a CMS?
Yes. All themes use Astro Content Collections — plain Markdown files. You don’t need a CMS. If you want one, themes are compatible with Ink CMS, Keystatic, and other headless options.
What about performance?
All themes target Lighthouse 100. They use zero JavaScript by default — Astro only ships JS for interactive components that need it. Fonts are self-hosted to avoid external requests.
Can I use the theme with a different framework (Next.js, etc.)?
LiteInk themes are built for Astro. The component structure and conventions are Astro-specific. If you need Next.js, the design and CSS can be ported, but the components won’t work out of the box.

What if I get stuck?
Email hi@liteink.co with your question. Include a screenshot or error message if applicable. We respond within 24 hours on weekdays.
Do themes come with free updates?
Yes. Bug fixes and minor improvements are free for all purchasers. Major version updates (new pages, redesigns) may require a new purchase or an All Access subscription.
Can I request custom features?
For custom development (new pages, integrations, design changes), contact hi@liteink.co for a quote.
Refunds
What’s the refund policy?
If the theme doesn’t work as described or you can’t get it running, contact us within 14 days for a full refund. Since themes are digital products with full source access, we can’t offer refunds after 14 days.
